Behavior Grading Scale

All students will receive a weekly behavior grade, viewable by parents through Parent Portal
  BEHAVIOR:
O (Outstanding)  well-behaved, was not spoken to
S (Satisfactory)   spoken to once or twice
N (Needs Improvement) spoken to several times

At the end of each grading period, these grades will be averaged to determine the appropriate letter grade (O, S,  N, U) for that nine weeks. Please note that plusses and minuses are no longer given in the VBCPS grading scale

Classroom Rules

M ake your best effort
U se good manners
S tay in your assigned area
I nstruments may only be played when the teacher allows
C ooperate in our music making

Students in the music classroom are expected to behave in the same manner they would be expected to behave in their own homeroom.  Though the music room is a free space where we can sing, dance, and play instruments, students are expected to follow all rules.  If a student misbehaves, consequences will be given, such as time out from the activity, getting a strike/moving a card in the child's classroom, or sending the child to the office.
