O (Outstanding) mastery of skill being assessed
S (Satisfactory) grade level success of skill being assessed
N (Needs Improvement) little accuracy of skill (4th and 5th grade- forgetting to bring recorder to class)
U (Unsatisfactory) refusal to demonstrate skill
At the end of each grading period, these grades will be averaged to determine the appropriate letter grade (O, S, N, U) for that nine weeks.
